I've been putting in overtime on Doombrowski related things these last few days and there's some pretty sweet news.
First off, I have created a Patreon page! Take a look at it and let me know what you think it may need.
For those that don't know about Patreon, it's a site that allows creatives to get ongoing funding via their fans. The way that I have my Patreon set up is that every week that I have to post a newsletter containing my week's progress in order to receive any type of donations. I also have different tiers of donation incentives that allow access to my games, access to Patreon only posts, give shout outs in the newsletter and possibly on Doom Ninja Podcast, and even an incentive to help build a game!
I spent around 6 hours recording a video for the page, setting things up, and creating a descriptive about section. I'm hoping that I can make content that people are willing to help fund.
Yesterday, I worked on background art assets for around 10 hours. That was basically all I did yesterday. It gave me a chance to catch up on some podcasts which was pretty nice.
This morning, I finished up the background art and put it in the game! Now all I should need are some player sprite modifications, some minor GUI upgrades, and the title screen art and art should be dunzo. I can't wait
There's the art in action. The players look kind of cool being all high contrast and whatnot. I still think I want to change them though to fit with the style of the rest of the assets.
I'm off to hopefully have a fun weekend. I need the break I think.
Until next time.
