A Sound Structure

This week is all about getting the sounds done in Suburban Scavengers.

Yesterday, I recorded the male character grunts and whatnot. Today, I put them in the game. It definitely makes the game feel more together. I will probably have to go back and modify a few of the sounds that I had in before today, but what I have is at least decent as placeholders.

@KullingMusic is helping out with a possible background music track for the main level. I usually am down to make some music, but I wasn't really feeling up to it after failing to get some of my old music software reinstalled. This takes a bit of time constraint stress off of me as well. I need to start doing more collaboration anyway if I want to ever be working on a team. It's good for the resume.

I'll probably post a video with the male fighting and movement sounds that I recorded for those who wish to use them in their own projects. I just need a good place to host them. Maybe here on Doombrowksi.com somehow? I'll have to look into that.

That's about it for now. I'm supposed to be getting a playtest in tonight. Hopefully it will be relatively bug free. Less than a month remains to Orlando iX. The bugs need to be gone before then.

Until next time.
