Art Practice

Since I consider this to be part of improving my games, I have decided to post about my progress in the online art course that I'm working on. You can check the course that I'm taking out at CtrlPaint.com. Currently, I'm just going over basic art techniques, which I've done before in the past. My eyeballs are rusty so it's taking some getting used to. Most of what I've been doing is traditional drawing so I haven't been able to move to using the drawing tablet much yet. That old thing is kind of buggy anyhow.

The following are a couple of the assignments that I've worked on the past few days. When I get to a confident enough level, I plan on making more assets for a game. Maybe it will be the Trust Fall prototype, maybe not. I'm not sure yet. I've considered making something that starts with art and builds a game out of that. It could be interesting.

I have to keep telling myself that I have been progressing on something that's game related. Without putting actual time in within Game Maker, it's difficult to believe that most of the time.

Until next time.
