Ludum Dare Results and More New Game "Progress"

The voting ended for Ludum Dare last night. I think I did about as well as I should for only having released 1 game very close to the jam.

These scores are out of a total 1118. I don't know why they don't show the number for coolness. I don't even know what that coolness really means. Anyway, there were a few sections that I did pretty well in.

Yesterday, after unsuccessfully messing with scaling views that include 2 moving objects for about an hour and a half, I decided to start working on a background. I want to put a style to the game while I'm testing it so I'm not just looking at an ugly gray box with other ugly gray boxes in it. It'll make screenshots look better as well when I start posting progress gifs and whatnot. I'm currently going with a cyberpunk city. It kind of looks like crap, but I've been speeding through it a bit so it's expected. I have about half of it done.

As Sean Connery would say, "Look at the shitty lights."

Dess M-8 has nearly double the installs that it had previous to Indienomicon. Not too bad. None are sales, but sales weren't really expected. I really need to find a place to off the rest of these keys that I have printed up. I made too many. :/ If Google Play will let me extend the promotion, it won't really matter. Maybe I'll try to do that.

Well, I'm off to work in just a few minutes. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish the right side of the city and maybe some platform tiles later today. It would be nice to be looking at something a little better during game building progress.

Until next time.
