Slackin'!

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post!

Though I haven't posted recently, I have still been working. I took a break over the weekend, but I have continued working on game related business every day this week. I haven't actually made any progress on the new game because I have been working on getting together a presentation for Indienomicon that I will be given exactly 1 week from today. I'm trying to make it as thorough as possible within the time restraints given. I pretty much have everything together now. I just need to make some adjustments to my script-ish sheet that I'm making myself to follow, and to throw the slides that I've made into some sort of presentation software or structure. This is the first time I've done something like this. Should be interesting.

On Tuesday, I spoke with Chris DeLeon of Gamkedo and the Game Devs Like You podcast. I feel that it went well. He was a super nice guy. I kind of wish I was a little less nervous and had a little more to talk about. My games are pretty simple. He gave me some information about his business after the recording was finished. It may be something beneficial to try out.

I have work off on Monday. Maybe I'll be able to use some of that time to work on the new game a little. I still haven't nailed a style which is lame. The art is super important and I'm pretty much drawing a blank. No pun intended. The player animations are acceptable, or at least will be after I tweak the dive sprite. I'm not sure how they'll look after I apply the effect that I have in mind for them. I did a test a week or so ago and it looked decent. Of course, the test didn't have the background that I plan on using. All in time I suppose.

I have to go to work in a few minutes. :/

Until next time.
