When I've had time, I've been working on getting a decent 32x32 tileset together. I've only really had time in the mornings, so there's been a bunch of start and stop work in small bursts. I have a full rimmed tileset with a little bit of dimension. I don't like the solid color look that it has going on now, so I may figure out a way to put an easy on the eyes repeating texture in place of the gray blue that's there now. I'm thinking a steel look.

I'm not even sure if I'm going to use this style in the game that I want to put together. I just want something that looks somewhat decent while I'm playtesting and writing new code.

Some of the decal like elements that I've made are actually pretty sweet. I'll have to scale and position them slightly differently for different block types that they go on, but overall, I'm fairly pleased. It makes designing new platforms much more dynamic. It's pretty much like using a new editor other than Photoshop only with less functionality. Absence of features can allow for greater creativity.

I think the next time I sit down to work on the game, I'll work on a GUI and the fall system. if I can get 1 bot fall to work, then I could get 100 of them to. After that, I'll have to include the catch mechanic.

Damn it. I kind of want to work on a new character sprite too. There are too many things that I want to do! I need to remember that I'm human and that I can only work on 1 thing at a time.

Ooh! I'm going to do some paperwork to register an LLC tonight. Soon, Doombrowski will be a legit company and its own entity. Then I can start writing off this game related stuff that I've been sinking my money into. Woot!

Until next time.
