Hello again! Or if it is your first time to this blog, welcome!
I finally got some game development time yesterday, and I used it to finish adding Mall Santa to Suburban Scavengers! The menu systems were a pain to get in, but things seem to be working as they should now.
Now that Mall Santa is in, I plan on working on the mechanics of the extra items while Kale starts on the new art for the game. There is still much work to be done before I can have a "full" version of the game ready to sell, but the progress is still happening. I'm honestly ready to take a little break then get started on something new; probably a collaborative project.
I'm starting my new job this week, which will allow for lots more game dev time. I will have less personal free time, but I will keep the thought in my mind that this job is only until I can launch my game development career by selling my game for enough money to live off of until I can finish my next game. A few people have faith in me and I don't want to let them or myself down.
I'm hoping that I will be able to use some of the extra time that I'll have in the mornings to work on some things to give back to the game development community. I'm thinking some sort of tutorials or asset packs or something. I'll have to brainstorm on what I do well enough to feel confident in my ability to teach.
Anyhoo, thanks for reading. If you like what you see, check out some of the other content I create by subscribing to my mailing list. It's the best way to get everything that I'm working on in one place.
Until next time.
