This week has been all about getting marketing things in order. No work has been done on Suburban Scavengers AI, but lots of work has been done in general.
Since I have launched the Greenlight page, the feedback has been overall negative. If I were graded for the votes that I'm receiving, I would be failing hard. That motivated me to create a better representation of Suburban Scavengers via a new trailer.
I worked on the trailer over the last 2 days and came up with a 54 second spot that I feel is a pretty good upgrade from the previous gameplay footage. Kale helped me throw together some hype music for the trailer and I cracked down on camera movement and keyframing a bunch in Blender.
I've found that I would greatly benefit from a legit video editing program that I can rely on more than Blender. The render drops frames like crazy and only plays sound when it wants to. :/ I still got it done though. :P
Anyhoo, check out the trailer below. Also, if you haven't already subscribed to my youtube channel, it would be awesome if you considered doing so. :)
This coming week, I plan on finishing up the AI, making it scalable, and possibly putting in a menu system for selecting single or multi player with a difficulty select on the AI. Beyond that, a tutorial would be about all I'd need to make it ready for the 22nd. Getting a bit nervous!
Until next time.
